JESOT is a free, peer-reviewed online journal for Old Testament studies. It is also published in hard copy through Wipf and Stock.
JESOT 3.1 is now available for interested readers. This issue is 154 pages in PDF. I have a book review in this issue (Huehnergard’s Ugaritic grammar). There are several articles that look quite interesting.

Do you know of any passages in I&II Kings that demonstrate the question, “are we really Jews anymore” or something related?
The author hinted that many researchers try and figure out why they were wondering that or I read it wrong(always a strong possibility).
I ask because of what I consider a clearer NT theology of a “Jew is one circumsized in the heart, not with hands” i.e. Paul’s view of what constitutes an authentic Jew.
There certainly would be ethnic Jews today, though except for the Cohen “line” (kohen = “priest” in Hebrew), it’s difficult (many would say impossible) to establish an ancient genetic profile and history (but there are apparently “markers”). But why believers would wonder if they are Jewish is beyond me – it does reflect a poor understanding of Galatians 3 and other passages. Naturally, this all relates to the earlier issue I’ve blogged about here whether the term “Israel” in biblical theology after the cross (especially eschatology) ever ONLY refers to national/ethnic Israel (as opposed to “believers” of all ethnicities).
