I use, in my mind, the time frame of the 1840’s and onward. Since that time, people have set out to determine time’s end, and the Lord’s return. Remember the booklet “88 reasons why the Lord will return in 1988.” I guess the Lord did not read that booklet.

I am fairly new to all this info (as of 2008) but this guy sitchin can’t be too far off because if his interpretations are correct, throughout “recent” history mankind thought the earth to be flat and that it was the center of the universe. As I understand it, the Sumerians knew that the eath was round, they knew of the other planets in our solar system, and what the colors of the other planets were. As recently as a few years ago a planetoid (Sedna) was discovered, even more interestingly (at least to me), the orbit of Sedna is extreme elliptical, in contrast to all of the much closer planets, and it takes 10,500 years to circle the sun. Another more “recent” discovery is the newely named Eris, the largest dwarf planet known (oxymoron I know) was discovered near the Kuiper belt beyond Pluto, makes me wonder, hmmm.
