The last time I was on Coast to Coast, I threw this page together (in about an hour – I know, it shows) since I knew people would ask about “the alien technology” of ancient flight. The page sketches some of the “evidence” for planes/gliders in ancient Egypt, helicopters at Abydos, and rockets at Byblos. Pure PaleoBabble. As brilliant as some ancient engineers were, there is no evidence that their technology moved in this direction.

I find that you have completely overlooked a number of very important facts. I know you will dissmiss them since you’ve succedded in convincing yourself that you already know it all. If you can remove your blinders for a minute, then consider these: 1. You weren’t there as a first hand witness 6,000 yrs ago and all through the ages. There were millions of events that took place without being recorded accuratley. 2. All that you know, someone else has told you. if your professors are wrong, and don’t know the information is wrong, there students run off with firmly planted ideas that are wrong. Look at the brain-washing Hitlers scientists and school teachers did, they thought that they were right. 3.It is totally impossible for anyone to say that all of these ancient texts are translated 100% correctly and that there is absolutely no possible way that they are there could be any other possible translations.Example, look at product directions translated by someone for whom English is not their native language, you’ll see a number of mistakes. so, let me see if I understand what YOUR position is based on: (1) lots of events that were *not* recorded, and (2) your belief that everything I know I was told by professors; and (3) your belief that translations aren’t perfect. Let’s analyze these:
1) when we argue on the basis of events for which there is no record, that is an argument from silence. Nice job.
2) So, you presume to know (a) what my professors taught me; (b) what I think about everything; (c) that I never disagreed with a professor. Gosh, I’ve never met anyone omniscient before – or are you a wraith that has been stalking me throughout my life? Nice job again. The first argument presumes silence = data; this one presumes omniscience. Sorry, but I disagree with my professors about plenty of things (most of which they didn’t care about).
3) On you theory, lack of perfection in translation = inability to clearly communicate or perhaps “we can’t know anything when it depends on translation.” You do realize (or maybe you don’t) that you’ve just jettisoned nearly everything we know about the ancient world (some scholar at some point in time made a translation error – or didn’t do it as well as it possibly could have been done) so I can’t rely on any of it. This is BS. Try it in the modern world. In your world, there can be no trustworthy communication between different cultures with different languages. So how do people do business? How do scientists cooperate? How are treaties made and signed? How are wars averted? Again, this is absurd. Translation works quite well. Perfection isn’t any more necessary for ancient texts to be comprehensible and overwhelmingly on target than it is for translation to work just fine today. No, no one can claim exhaustive, never-failing perfection in translation; but they CAN claim a very high degree of accuracy.
Your arguments are extremely weak, and don’t conform to reality, but that probably doesn’t faze you.

And where were the emerald tablets found? by whom? Where were they published in the academic literature (so the translation could be peer-reviewed)? Any scholarly editions? I’m on the edge of my seat.
A spoiler. The oldest textual source for this is a 10th century (AD) Arabic document that claims a Hellenistic (Alexander the Great’s time and forward) heritage. That’s FAR removed from ancient Egypt, and there is no hieroglyphic (i.e., REAL) Egyptian text for these “emerald tablets.”

Today’s science can not answer all questions !! Ancient ideas can not be conveyed to us more efficiently than legends and stone tablets !! DO NOT let our paradigms get in our way to seek knowledge !! Something Extra- Ordinary happened in the past !! We will NEVER get the answers required by today’s standards !!
Things will start to make sense if you apply this “lens” ; ” The Gilligan’s Island Effect ” (wait- wait, there is more)….. picture the TGI, where the rest of the ’60’s Earth World is gone, and stories are carried on by the great grand children of the ones stuck on the little island !! Their records would probably mirror what records we have now in our hands, of the past !!
Don’t discount what i propose, you would be ignoring the fact that less important things have been lost within our “advanced” time !! Can you deny that humanity has lost the recipe of concrete for almost 1ooo years ???!!
Technology disappears after calamities, and is what happened in the distant past !!
There must have been a solar system calamity when “us, humans” were interplanetary “gods”, and wiped us out, and all is left is what you see, us trying to get off the ground as best as we can muster !!!
show me evidence for this sort of technology in the past. Saying it once existed isn’t evidence.

This remind me of Rael, some french folk who claims to have been kidnapped by aliens and who said tries to obtain permission from the state of Israel to build a UFO airport/landing platform for alien landing! He has been denied for 20 years and he is being evicted from televison shows.
