No fair Michael, I can’t see your responses to my comments in my email. I have to check the website regularly.
Is it because I use hotmail or gmail?
I have no idea. I’ll ask the webmaster.
Do you mean you aren’t being notified by email that you (or I) have replied or something else?
idk what Isaac is referencing, but the only thread I receive reply notices for in my inbox is Flat Earth. Every other thread, I check “notify of new replies to this comment” and “notify of replies to this thread”. I get the email, I click the link… then never receive an email notifying me that replies have been posted.
Flat Earth I still get email for, but nothing else.
Ya, I am not notified by email.
The link says the giveaway ended already
Yeah, it got stampeded. It hit the maximum number of entries in just a few hours. I’ll make sure to make that number much higher on the next giveaway.
About that heaven thing I asked. I forgot to include this in my original comment.
The core idea of the book, Heaven is that heaven is a reward based system. The more you do that pleases the Lord the more rewards you get. The less you do, the less you get.
You might get a mansion in heaven or maybe be a beggar on the street.
Do you agree with this interpretation, Michael?
no; it’s not about quantity — it’s about quality.
Is “The Watchers in Jewish and Christian Traditions” by Harkins worth owning?
yes
This is probably a good book for the next giveaway.
Also, what resources available in Logos are best for those interested in Enoch and Divine Council?
There’s a good deal (“divine council” is quite broad). Here are some examples:
OT Pseudepigrapha (of which Enoch is a part):
Charlesworth’s two volumes
R. H. Charles volumes on the Pseudepigrapha of the OT
Nickelsburg’s two Hermeneia commentaries on Enoch
Stuckenbruck’s critical edition of the Book of Giants
All of these are scholarly sources. Charles’ two volumes are probably the most accessible.
Divine council:
Unseen Realm
a whole variety of sources that have chapters or essays on the divine council:
Dictionary of Deities and Demons in the Bible (DDD)
Miller’s Israelite Religion and OT Theology
Smith’s Early History of God
IVP dictionaries (I wrote the DC articles in the Poetry and Prophets volumes)
Anchor Bible Dictionary
just a lot – but it’s expensive to buy whole books just for one chapter. The only reference source worth buying (because it has a concentration of divine council – related articles) is DDD
I can honestly say this might actually be the first thing I’ve ever won! Interesting how that happens when we align our lives to seeking God and studying His word.
Thank you Mike! For everything you do!
Nathan
cool!
It appears there is some confusion on this particular giveaway. Amazon is saying the giveaway was completed 10 Apr 2016, but the caveat on the bottom of the Amazon site and your site advises the giveaway ends 16 April 2016. Or maybe I’m just a moron.
The giveaway hit the max number of entries in only a few hours. Next time I will increase that dramatically.
Michael, I just want to share this with you.

I was too late. I should keep better tabs on this. Thanks for the giveaway Mike.
funny!
The above link says the give-away ended 4/10… ?
The giveaway hit the maximum number of entries in just a few hours. I will hike that number on the next giveaway.
