No idea what’s going to be said or revealed. Supposedly the conference deals with “an astrobiological finding” that will have an impact on the search for ET life. You can watch it on NASA-TV (1 pm Central). Here’s the link.

I wonder if this will be a “panspermia/life once on mars” type announcement that you’ve speculated about Mike. Or at least a step towards that.
Felisa Wolfe-Simon and Steven Benner have both published about Mars and both, I think, believe in panspermia.
Felisa Wolfe-Simon is also associated with Paul Davies, whose ideas I’m not a fan of.
yes, I groan every time Davies’ thoughts on religion and ET are re-published or recycled.
I’ve figured out what the consipiracy is. The American public is suppose to think that NASA’s research team on astrobiology has been hijacked by a junior high science class. Like, Ms. Wolfe-Simon’s presentation, was, like, so cool.
I’ve seen more gravitas in my six year explaining the destruction of Krypton than I did in her presentation.
oh, I think they were just trying to put the cookies on the low shelf for non-scientists.
