Just read this very interesting article – it’s about how ancient Roman glass makers ground up silver and gold to the size of 50 nano-meters in diameter (less than 1000th the size of a grain of table salt) to produce a goblet that appears green when lit from the front and red when lit from behind.
No word on which extraterrestrial race gave the Romans this technology. I’m sure the news will be appearing on a future Ancient Aliens episode. They just have to do more “research” to figure out the alien connection since humans just couldn’t do this sort of thing.
The End of the Triumvirate
Caesar – “What price dost thou ask for thine goblet Crassus? desire to have it”
Pompey – No mortal man hath crafted this? Tis too small, perhaps it is more likely a tear from Jupiter!”
(Caesar and Crassus do not respond to Pompey’s attempt at humor and continue on)
Caesar – “Come now Crassus, long suffer I to know?
Crassus – Thou shall suffer more when I provide thee a price.
Pompey – Thou Jest!
Crassus – I jest not! One million drachma.
Caesar – Woe, I would be undone! I should rather cross the river Rubicon with army in tow than pay thy price!
Pompey- Thou hast spoke Treason! My dignity is plucked from the root, and uprooted I shall return to Rome!
Caesar – Make haste Pompey, thou memory is as foul as thy company!
(Pompey exits)
Crassus – if thou wilt not pay I shall keepeth this trinket for glory in Parthia!
(Crassus slams fist on table)
Caesar – I make haste to Gaul, for I desire to make distance from thy scandalous dealings! .
(Caesar Exits, Crassus stands up and paces)
Crassus – Fools, Knaves, and Ruffians. Tis a crafted gift from the gods, I shall conquer the globe. Fear and Dread Parthia, for thy doom is nigh.
