Church Directory

In July of 2021 I asked my audience, via the Miqlat Newsletter list, to submit the name and address of any church (in the U.S. or abroad) that, in their opinion, regularly teach the Bible. The idea was not a list of churches whose leaders have read my books, or listen to the Naked Bible Podcast. Rather, the goal was to create a list of churches that are content-driven–i.e., churches that, on a week-to-week basis, are serious about teaching Scripture to the people who attend. That was the sole criterion. All “notes” in the column were supplied by the respondent.

Naturally, not every church will be to the taste of everyone who uses the list. Inclusion here does not constitute my personal endorsement. I would have no idea what is taught in each church around the world on any given Sunday. I’m depending on the good faith assessment of people in my audience. You’ll notice immediately that the list varies widely in terms of denominational affiliation. There are also a few churches meeting in homes as Bible studies (indicated where relevant). I am hopeful that this directory will help people find churches (a question I frequently get in email).

What follows is the first installment of the directory. There are just under 400 listings.  Churches are listed by state, with states listed alphabetically. Entries are further divided into “Churches in the United States” and “Churches outside the United States.”
