Interview with Mike Heiser on the Inner Revolution Podcast
I’ve been studying your work now for about six weeks and this is how it has helped me:
What is helping my with the divine counsel is I feel I have a better understanding of what is happening today. The new atheist is hammering Christians in accusing the God of the Bible as a genocidal maniac. But the divine counsel world view puts a much better context on the conquest as these “people” that are being exterminated are hybrid beings who are offspring of the “sons of God.” And they are the mortal enemies of mankind. They MUST be eliminated.
What I think is apparent with the world-wide changes happening today is these changes that a so rapidly flowing over the world are rooted in these watchers. If you do not have the Spirit of Jesus in you then your vulnerable to the persuasion of the watchers. Your Naked Bible Podcast with those two women who do deliverance ministry highlights the impact that the watchers have on a mind that is unprotected by the presence of the Spirit.
The divine counsel also brings to the forefront for me of God’s calling His children to be separated form the world. To be set apart. With the watchers having “power” over nations their ways of doing things is ungodly to the root. We see this in life at every corner more and more. They way the “nations” does things flows against God’s ways very consistently. The divine counsel helps me put this into context so I can think about God’s ways more clearly verses the ways culture is trying to influence me.
I will be reading your book Micheal & quite possibly will find my answer within it, but I just cannot wait to ask this question.
Ever since i become a christian, I wondered why Lucifer, one of Gods first creations, a being with what Id expect to be a great capacity to TRULY understand Gods nature, or I AM, would EVER try and rebel against God, knowing his absolute nature.
So add on your interpretation, the divine counsel, multiple divine rebellions, & I ask why more angels would rebel?
3 divine rebellions, not just one….These beings also intimate with God, his nature & attributes… try to pull a coup aswell?? Im sure they would understand the final outcome? I just cant wrap my brain around it.
Lack of comprehension is probably the answer though, but toss turn, full of anxiety not really knowing
This could possibly break down to our level of understanding of Gods true nature. Our finite minds, just cannot fire up enough wisdom. Now, its possible Lucifer does comprehend God all of him & this is why he & the others rebelled vs him….they MUST have a chance, must….if not, then why do it???
Must be a chink in the 3 BIG O’s that make up Gods nature that he cannot act on? Like if God All Powerful, could he make a rock too big to lift, of course he could, but he wouldn’t even take part in that, maybe something he cannot do, due to his nature…I mean that he could do, but wont, & thats where these fallen ones see a chance?
