Here’s a recent post from the WIRED blog on the SETI document I recently blogged about. It would be wonderful if some of this stuff was written by people who actually understood conservative evangelical theology and biblical theology (hey, I’m trying) — since THEY are the people who would be most alarmed and resistant, as I’ve noted (feels like ad nauseum).

The comments at the WIRED posting mentioneed here tell us all there is to know about the mind-set of those interested in the topic.
How can any intelligent person hope to have a dialogue with these people — the persons posing the query (Religion affected by alien contact) and those who respond.
It’s intellectually impossible.

RRR: If you’ve flipped through the powerpoint, you know I see your point. That said, the responses seem to run the gamut, so I’m still hopeful that the more conservative camp could be reasoned with in terms of thinking better about the contents of the Bible and this issue (no violation necessary). If ET life turns out to be real, they will be forced to think about it, and many may well go off the deep end or abandon belief in the biblical God. But I think many would not. (I have to admit right now I think the majority would fall into the first category).
Some of those who are now known as Regional Celestials did nurture through eras of evolution, those unexpected seeding of Human Kind referred to as the Neanderthal Man … But remaining known Humanity are incarnates of a Celestial Kind (rather they remember this or not).
Before the falling out of Place of many High Celestials, each their World consisted of Overlord Celestials which were sky based Beings dwelling in elevated Cities of great and powerful advanced technology, and their flying crafts referred now to as UFOs.
Then there were the Surface Celestials who were guarded by the Overlords of their simple yet seemingly magical ways of living … All Surface Celestials dwelled on beautiful ever flourishing Lands similar to known Islands, and Rain Forests … during and after the falling from High Places, many Overlords settled in linked alignments having a specific count of colonized ‘Open Pockets of Space’ referred to as a Heaven … below settled each their associated and displaced Colony of Land Dwellers who had by now been relocated on different sections of this planet.
But each colonized ‘Open Pockets of Space’ were also referred to as an individual World which were linked of their vast and distance positions stretching through upper space, by Corner Stones or Stepping Stones which maintained linkage of World’s alternating frequencies … such a Corner Stone resembles the famed Mecca.
Now, entry to each such Celestial Open Pockets of Space were allowed by Manuel Facilities of which some were referred to as Cherubs, and some referred to as a specific Horse or horse-like characters having a human Head … but because each such Manuel Facility controlled openings of wormholes and their Portal Passages, each were also referred to as a ‘Celestial Teleporting Relay Station’.
There are five such Celestial Alignments associated with this planet … All but one had their final entry points situated within Earths skies … each their four entry points yet remain as Cloaked Pockets of Space which are unseen floating in the skies of this planet as clouds do … a fifth entry point is based in Earths moon.
How about some real evidence for any of this?
