   Your podcasts of Acts are far more interesting and revealing than the current TV series “AD: The Bible Continues” running on NBC on Sunday nights.

   For many years, I did not appreciate the full import of James’ statement: “For from ancient generations Moses has had in every city those who proclaim him, for he is read every Sabbath in the synagogues.”

   It was only after hearing your exposition of the text in Amos, and the references from Leviticus, that it all clicked. That wonderful ‘aha’ moment of clarity about the Law’s place among the fledgling Gentile churches.

   Excellent stuff about the Divine Counsel Throne Visits.

   I also agree that Plato’s philosophy, particularly his emphasis on dualism, did indeed influence the Early Church Fathers. It was one of the main reasons why I choose very early in my Christian walk to research the ANE perspective, as opposed to the Western Roman traditions from the likes of Augustine.
