Excelent video, i just can’t get enough of Michael. Very interesting in his approach. He has a way of making us realize how advanced the Old Testament faith really was.
It seems to me that the Baal was an antichrist type for Israel even back then, Baal seems to represent a false copy of the man coming in the clouds.
Great work Michael, and thank you for sharring.
@Philip Alexiou:
thanks!

i’m looking for parts 1-3 before i watch part 4…can’t seem to find them. suggestions?
mj
Absolutely powerful! What a blessing. Thank you for your willingness to minister our Lord grace…
Fantastic, Dr Heiser do you have to say there for hours answering questions ? lol
If i wasn’t such a tough guy, i would admit to having a tear in my eye at the end for the Jews who will not come to their Messiah because they will have to admit they got it wrong at the crucifixion, that is heart breaking beyond words. He is their Messiah after all, though as a gentile i’m thankful for the plan of God to bring us in, but i think i just realized how big the stumbling block is for them and i hope we as Christians begin to do our job and make them jealous so the lost sheep of the house of Israel repent while there is still time. I dont think i would make a orthodox Jew very jealous at this moment in time to my shame, Matthew 5:20 very sobering once again Dr Heiser good job sir.
@Nobunaga: thanks for this.
@mack johnston: go to vimeo.com and search for “Grace Church Bellingham” – part one is not a good audio since I wasn’t miked – the mike was on the pulpit, and I tend to wander – sessions 2 thru 3 I was miked and told to stay put!
I enjoyed this series so much! Here’s hoping that time and opportunity allows for another one…I was so blessed by this, thank you!
Nobunaga, you took the words right out of my mouth. Now I realize how large a stumbling block this had to have been for the jews. I am so thankful to have been included as part of this amazing mystery and plan!
At the risk of exposing my own ignorance, and might also show further ignorance since I have not yet watched all of the videos on this topic, are you tirnitarian or are you suggesting that binitarianism is your position? Sorry for this question if it has been answered in another place. Thank you for your time.
I’m trinitarian. The binitarian material is about the evidence in the OT for two Yahweh figures. The Spirit also factors into that discussion (ways of describing the second figure also occur when describing the Spirit). The whole concept is re-purposed in the NT to talk about God, Jesus, and the Spirit. It’s recommended that you watch the video, and even better, read the discussion in The Unseen Realm.
I have been watching a 5 part series on The Unseen Realm. I started it just yesterday. AMAZING!! There have always been pieces of the O.T. that have never made sense to me and I have never gotten good answers. Obviously, I was not aware of how my way of thinking and lack of cultural understanding were leaving huge gaps in my ability to process a lot of scripture. This material is not only informative, but it is essential to really get to the meat of what is really going on. Needless to say, I will be getting the book as well as your other books, and all future books. You did the work for me that I was unable to accomplish on my own. Thanks so much for the reply, as well. I really appreciate it.
What are you watching?

I loved every minute of it. I am planning on getting your fiction works as well as The Unseen Realm and other books. I just have to wait for a bit. I am in NC and have to deal with the aftermath of the storm first.
I liked the fact I could also hear questions. I just finished the youtube series on eschatology, which just reinforced my idea that it is really unknowable. I have always equated it with dizzying maze, but the pit of despair definitely works. I found myself really wishing I could hear the questions being asked in that series.
Thanks!
