I always refer to the fourth Indiana Jones movie as Indiana Jones Meets Erich von Daniken. Then I’m saddened when people say, “Who?”
I don’t remember if I ever read any if his books. I probably learned about him on In Search Of. I remember reading a book called “Our Ancestors Came from Outer Space” (I think that’s right), and there was one about Jesus being an alien.
And speaking of aliens, Whitley Strieber was on Coast to Coast the other night.

Yeah, Jason’s my new hero because of this series of posts. Sorry, Mike.
Just more proof that the AA folk haven’t had a new thought in thirty years. Regurgitating the same tale over and over keeps making these people money, why? Oh yeah… people are gullible. For shame EVD! For shame…

As glaringly stupid as Däniken is, the digestion of this series is soured by the constant harping of “EVD is a conservative”-line. Even if this were the correct placement of EVD’s views in an extremely simplistic system – which I doubt very much! -, how does this affect his crackpot theories? Or does the author equate conservative and crackpot anyway?
I didn’t even know he was still alive.

agreed; it’s irrelevant.
