Here’s another recent review (even longer than mine) that points out the obvious – the newest Indiana Jones movie is a cheesefest.

I passed over even the 1 dollar pirated version here in China. Anyway, the NY Times online ran a piece this weekend called “Ancient Tablet Ignites Debate on Messiah and Resurrection.” It’s the second most popular article this weekend and says “This should shake our basic view of Christianityâ€. There’s a lot of shaking going on. Any plans to address this?

PLease send me a link. Since I have heard nothing about it in biblical studies circles, I expect it’s nonsense – but that’s what this blog is for! Please send me a link.
Here it is.

Mike, have you seen the new will smith movie called Hancock?… they just keep feeding this whole thing of super humans…. will smith is a ‘super hero’, he is a bumb with amnesia.. at the later part of the movie you find out he has a ‘partner’, she tells him that they were “built” and they are what people used to call Gods and Angels….. more nephilim but now they are super heroes….kind of made me think of Superman or i should say Ka-El….i wonder what Ka means.??…. anyways….its just very intriguin to see more and more movies projecting the same theme….
I read this NY Times online article and…well..oh my goodness. I’m not sure if “OJA” posted you the link but in case not here ’tis: nytimes.com/2008/07/06/world/middleeast/06stone.html?hp- Perhaps you recognize some of the scholars names involved? Beyond the peer-review journalism protocols is the “hush hush” part of normal procedure? In any case I’m glad to see that “OJA” brought this up and am anxious to hear your thoughts about this further “shaking going on”!

rode: Wow – I have to see this now; the trailer looked good, but this is right up one of my research alleys (along with “Heroes”). Thanks!
