Some of you may have heard me make mention on Coast to Coast AM about “astral prophecy” and its relationship to Revelation 12 and the star of Bethlehem. Here’s an excellent video on that idea. Not expensive either. I watched it recently. The only thing I’d change would be an explicit mention of the date of the birth of Jesus — September 11, 3 B.C. — and mention of how the dragon of Revelation 12 also works out astronomically. Pretty cool visuals.

This appears to be an excellent suggestion and it may do people even more good to the source and check out Ernest L Martin’s work —- when he first pulled all of these connections together (and I’m assuming this is directly based on his work), observatories worldwide applied the research in a practical – albeit visually stunning – manner and offered displays for people around Christmas time (and year-round in some cases.) At this time, I have only seen the little promotional clip at thestarofbethlehemmovie.com and it neglected to mention the source (ie Martin) but I assume that the full piece would do so. I really question their agenda sometimes as it seems like they are the mouth piece for the UFO religion. I almost want to call them Gnostic to Gnostic AM or Watcher University. Most of thier guests are so anti-Christian and are dead set to prove the Bible wrong at every turn.
More and more of thier guests are spewing the same New Age crap and its getting very boring.
Everytime they advertise guest as discussing biblical texts it turns into Gnostic-Con

I have purchased the DVD and watched twice in the past few weeks. The find the video lacking lots of details and his ideas are presented rather too quickly. I was expecting more. I had to read the “Stages” on his website (www.bethlehemstar.net) to understand what he meant to say in the DVD. It should be the opposite, the DVD ought to be more concise and comprehensible, not the other way around.
Frederick Larson mentions that in September 3BC, as Ernest Martin (I haven’t read Ernest’ book yet but read commentaries online) mentions, that the Virgo constellation clothed in the Sun with the moon at her feet occurred Sept 11 3BC, but that:
“These symbols could indicate a birth, but if they were interpreted to indicate the time of conception, the beginning of a human life, might there be something interesting in the sky nine months later? Indeed. In June of 2 BC, Jupiter continued the pageantry”
Mr. Larson’s proposal about Jesus’ birth – although according to him he is not dogmatic about this detail – is that “baby Jesus” was born in June 2BC and that December 25th 2 BC, Jesus was already 6 to 7 months old when Jupiter (+ Venus) was in Retrograde motion when the Magi looked southward coming from Jerusalem towards Bethlehem, the Star appeared to be there above the town.
I confirmed this understanding by email with him.

@blop2008: I have a couple problems with Larson’s presentation. I don’t think his pregnancy/baby Jesus take is the best way to look at this (I think Martin’s is better); He also should credit Martin, which he never does; and I think his dating of the death is wrong- if memory serves, he has Jesus dying in 33 AD, and born in 3/2 BC. This would make him 35 at his death, which is too old, given the New Testament statements that Jesus was about 30 years old when he began his ministry (Luke 3:23), and the fact that, everyone who has tracked his ministry chronologically (done via the mention of Passovers), has it at 3.5 years.

I guess you know very well that apollyon=apollo. Also that apollo and all other sungods (who in the end is the same entity) have been celebrated at cristmas.
So why dont you talk about christmas and its pagan roots? Tell me ONE thing thats christian about christmas. And i dont mean the phony “celebrate Jesus” crap. I mean the date is from pagan sun-worship, the tree is a symbol of fertility – the sun is a fertility god, santa, raindeers, mistletoe, + everything else… Whats christian about this??? Why get told the truth when you can find it yourself folks? Start to analyze the bible yourselves – chances are slim (at best) that you will be fed the truth by anyone official. Music artists are commonly sacrificed on the 25th in some month, but there are other dates that coencide with numerology. Sounds crazy, but why do you think it is that Kurt Cobain, Jimi Hendrix, Lisa “Left-Eye” Lopez, and at least 2 more that i cant remember, all got killed the 25th in some month when they were 27yrs old? Michael Jackson got killed the 25th of december i believe, the same day as Farrah Fawcet and one more got killed. Theres LOTS of more examples, but i only remember these.
Anyway, if the protestant churches were really PROTESTANTS, then they would not be celebrating the catholic PAGAN holidays like christmas, midsummers eve, st lucy – the bringer of lights!!! Man how blind are people? To help you blind people: Lucifer=lightbearer!!!
People let their kids attend school where they are getting told to parttake in these RITUALS! THEY ARE KIDS! ITS YOUR JOBS AS PARENTS TO PROTECT THEM!!! And if your afraid what your neighbor might think, then you need to prioritize a little bit better than that. Whats more important? What some idiot thinks, or the fact that you let your kids parttake in these rituals which have got to be there for a reason. I have not a doubt in my mind that these rituals lead to possession. Its just like music. Music leads to ecstatic feelings, and once your mind is on the same wavelength as these demons you are open to their attacks! There is a reason why Jesus says the laws are for our own good, and not just to give us rules to follow.

If the demons flee at the name of Yeshua, would the Watchers leave at that name too, or no? I was always raised that we only have to fear humans, as God permits them to do horrible things to us, but the kingdom of Satan is under our feet when we get baptised and are new creatures in Christ. Reading what the Watchers did to the Catholic priests made me wonder exactly how that works out… ?????..
Watchers aren’t demons. I think a good case can be made that they are the “celestial ones” (or. “glorious ones”) referred to in Peter and Jude, which even angels do not rebuke, deferring to God in that case. Interesting you mention this today. I’m about 50 pp. from finishing the first draft of the sequel and this issue is sort of in play.
Interesting, one thing I wonder about is self determination among the sons of God. In Job, Satan constantly has to ask permission to kill people or afflict human beings. It’s not like he can do it independently of God, yet the demons roam the earth and always have to leave at our command, though sometimes only go through prayer and fasting, but I guess hypothetically God could give a watcher permission to do something that no amount of claiming Jesus would change? I was just always taught that “Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Yeshua every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Yeshua the Messiah is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:9–11 meant that every son of God had to bow at that name, I mean, I believe the ??? that kills the two prophets during the tribulation is a being like the ???? in Ezekiel 1, even though the two prophets can call fire down from heaven, yet this ??? can overcome them and even kill them, that is until they get upgraded during the resurrection, then all the Believers become angelic. One thing I wonder about is if we’ll go right up to the top of the angelic order since Yeshua is highest among the angelic order, being unique and one of a kind, ?????, yet we are told in various places we will be like him, and have a body like his. Eye has not seen… what God has prepared for those who love him. I really feel like in many ways we’re not even beginning to touch the surface…
