I saw several pieces on this fiasco yesterday, but I want to direct readers to Jason Colavito’s site for a timely assessment: “Media Outlets Wrongly Claim NASA Endorsed the Ancient Astronaut Theory.”
Doesn’t surprise me to see Jesus Diaz’s name mixed up in incompetency. He once published an article so poor on Gizmodo that people assumed it was an April Fool’s article. It wasn’t even April 1st.
This reminds me of what Michael Crichton said about the modern media. He said when speed (the first one with a headline) is the priority and not accuracy, factual content approaches zero.
