UPDATE 3/7/2018: Fern and Audrey now have their own non-profit ministry. Please donate to Discovering MErcy!
I just wanted to post a brief update about the Fern and Audrey Go Fund Me campaign. For those who aren’t familiar with this campaign, my non-profit (MIQLAT) is helping to raise money to meet the financial expenses of survivors of ritual abuse. Fern and Audrey (pseudonyms) are two women I have known for years who have a full-time ministry helping survivors of ritual trauma (satanic or otherwise). They operate under the radar as much as possible for client safety and anonymity (and in certain cases, it’s a wise proposition that they remain anonymous). The campaign is explained here, while the sorts of ritual, repetitive abuse Fern and Audrey deal with on a regular basis are described here. (For those who have watched Stranger Things, the Netflix original series that so many people are talking about, the MK-Ultra reference will be familiar).
The funding goal is high because this is intentionally a long-term proposition that we expect to continue for years. Several people in this audience have contacted Fern and Audrey and had several sessions with them.
Fern sent me a short letter recently to express thanks for the donations that have come in to date. She wrote:
The journey of healing for trauma survivors is riddled with obstacles. In the 19 years I’ve been ministering to them, I’m amazed at their courage to face the hauntings of their past and walk into freedom. While the abuse, lies, and loss add up, they continue to press into love to live out of the heart Jesus gave them. There is, however, one obstacle that sooner or later threatens the process, that is . . . financial resources to continue therapy.
On behalf of those who you’ve supported through GoFundMe over the past 6 months — Thank You! Because of your generosity many of our folks had the opportunity to connect with us via Skype or come for intensive ministry sessions.
In addition, a portion of the funds were spent on mentoring pastors, priests and counselors across the globe who also work with survivors. We are aware that we cannot reach all who need help and this is a way to widen resources for survivors.
Audrey and I want to express our heartfelt thanks to you who are standing with us to help the hurting. We appreciate for your support!
Love those guys! Long term, I wish they had a course curriculum for a Fern and Audrey approved boot camp to crank out knowledgeable disciples, so we could learn from them what help people need.
Taught Divine Council 101 last night to our growing Bible study. Several people afterwards wanted links to your site and podcast. In the process I got to explaining my favorite podcast episodes…One couple in particular wanted to know which episode Fern and Audrey was. They were adamant that needed to be the first episode they listened to… out of a room of 13 people, Fern and Audrey spoke to specifically to 2 of them. Sounds like their estimate of 1 in 10 people needing their help is fairly accurate.
Thank you Dr. Heiser, and Fern and Audrey for all that you do!
Nathan
You’re welcome — and if you ever need direct links (because of site behavior), email me (just put something to the effect of our comment exchanges in the subject line.
