If you’re interested in UFOs you probably heard about the latest (and final) document dump on UFOs from Britain’s Ministry of Defense (MoD). I’m skeptical as to the reported “we did this because there was nothing of interest” MoD spin. So was Nick Pope, former MoD UFO Desk administrator. Pope said that the MoD claim that UFOs have no significance for British air defense was “designed solely to keep Parliament, the media and the public off our backs.”
While there may be some hyperbole there, I tend to doubt “official” government reports about disinterest in UFOs and their lack of significance. Why? Because there’s good evidence to the contrary. If you doubt that, I suggest strongly that you read Rich Dolan’s essay, “Twelve Government Documents that Take UFOs Seriously.” Rich does a nice job of exposing the official apathy for what it is: misinformation.
