I blogged this over on PaleoBabble, where I referred to what you’ll see in the video as the holy grail of paleobabble. For this audience, all I can say is that this is the best argument I’ve ever seen for a global teaching magisterium like the Roman Catholic Church has and enforces. Some people should simply not be allowed to speak about the Bible in public (and maybe in private). Watch and weep (or laugh till you cry).

I know you don’t subscribe to the Ancient Astronaut Theory, so do you believe some of the advanced astronomical knowledge possessed by the ancients came from the Watchers? I apologize if you’ve commented on this before in your blogs and I’ve overlooked it.
It seems we have more information about what you don’t believe rather than what you do. I loved The Facade but I’m not sure if Brian’s hypotheses are your own, if they were completely fictional, or a combination of the two.
According to what I’ve read about Zecharia Sitchen’s latest book, now he’s saying Nin.Puabi – whose remains were found at the Royal Tomb of Ur? – is a direct descendant of the Anunnaki. There’s even an online petition hoping to make him prove his claims via DNA testing at http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/aliendna/ If it happens (which I doubt it will) and there is some unusual DNA found, then what?
A lot of people (including Christians) are going to buy in on this – even without DNA evidence. Where’s Dr. Scott when we need him?
Sitchin is just trying to milk more cash out of the gullible public. Please direct people to my http://www.sitchiniswrong.com site. That’s why it’s there.
I don’t think there’s much of anything “advanced” about the astronomical knowledge of the ancients. They just knew a lot more than what they are given credit for (archaeoastronomers know how they knew what they knew – they were keen observers and spent decades and even longer tracking thing; we don’t do naked eye astronomy like that any more since we have technology).
Dr. Scott is overwhelmed with a good half dozen projects now. He needs a secretary and benefactor (!) so he can devote himself to these sorts of things. But honestly, I am starting to feel a sense of urgency about the sequel. Can’t really say more.

The forum above is full of straw-man and misrepresentations of not only what Mike heiser has written and stated about Genesis 6 and fallen angels but also of OT scholarship including Ancient Near Eastern studies. I am Amazed at how people misread/misunderstand clear enough writings. They confuse the Sons of God with the offspring, the nephilim.
